- Remote Learning (COVID-19)
Pupils at St Joseph’s have all been provided with information in order to access google classroom. Most of our pupils have used this on numerous occasions both in school and for homework. Please click here for information on how to join a google classroom. Codes have been sent out to parents via ParentMail. If you have misplaced the codes or they do not appear to be working please contact the school office via the email email@example.com or call 01434605124
Our approach to home learning from January 2021
Pupils should aim to follow their in-school timetable each day. Work will be uploaded to Google Classrooms with instructions and video tutorials to support pupils. If your child is unsure, they can contact their teacher directly via their School 360 email accounts or call/ email the main office.
This term, teachers will be providing a mixture of google classroom lessons and live lessons. Timetables for live lessons are emailed out on a Friday for the following week. Links can be found on each Google Classroom home page (on the bar at the top).
Pupils should aim to ‘join’ the lesson at least 5 minutes before it is due to start to avoid technical issues. Only pupils in the class can join a lesson and the teacher has control over who joins the online session.
Teachers will launch the lesson and deliver their teaching and explanations for around 25 minutes before logging off and allowing the pupils to continue with their learning. The teachers will be on-hand to respond to any emails, questions and to provide assessment and feedback for the rest of the lesson.
We are always here to support you and your child with any aspect of remote learning so please get in touch with us if you need to. This is new for everyone so we thank you for your patience as we move this approach forward. Thank you for your continued support.
