This affects all of us. Listed below are some the problems currently facing our planet. We have also highlighted some things that can be done by all of us to limit the effects of global warming. There is also a link to show what we are doing at St. Joseph’s for recycling and energy efficiency.
The glaciers are melting.The ice caps are getting smaller. Animals and plants are responding to an earlier spring. Sea levels are rising and are forecast to rise by another 88cm by 2100. Costs of global warming could double each year in the next ten years.
Rising temperatures will cause polar ice caps to melt further. Even more flooding, rainstorms,droughts and famine will occur
Below are some suggestions.
There are 60 million people living in the United Kingdom so if we all did the things listed above we could make a significant difference. We must all take responsibility and not leave it to others.
